Antibacterial Activity of the Pyrogallol against Staphylococcus aureus Evaluated by Optical Image

The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) is used to define the lowest at which a substance can inhibit bacterial growth. This study aimed evaluate MIC of pyrogallol against Staphylococcus aureus and propose method for building growth inhibition curves strains from assays. S. 1199B (NorA) 1199 (wild type) were Pyrogallol tests performed by broth microdilution method. proposed uses RGB images plate using R (Red), G (Green), B (Blue) channels extract information construction curve (GIC). demonstrated 512 µg/mL two tested. GIC was calculated point identified tested strains. suggested same when microplate before after addition resazurin. Through this methodology, subjectivity visual analysis in be eliminated.
